Research has shown that creating an environment at work where people feel able to talk things through, speak up with concerns, criticisms or questions and not be scared of negative consequences frees employees to do better work. Yet while most people acknowledge the benefits, not all organisations are managing to provide a psychologically safe environment for employees.
Ben Hardy, Clinical Professor of Organisational Behaviour at London Business School, spoke to Suha Hasan, a correspondent at Fast Company Middle East recently about ways to get it right.
