My greatest challenge when I applied to business school was: Choosing a career path to work towards
About me: Born and raised in Moscow, I embarked on an international academic journey when I was accepted to Highgate School in London at age 16 to pursue my A levels. Upon completion, I enrolled in King's College London (KCL) for a BSc in Politics. At KCL, my professional tennis background led me to join the Women's 1st Tennis Team, competing at the Premier League level. Furthermore, I was honored to serve as the President of the Russian Speaking Society, where I spearheaded initiatives such as a fundraiser for Ukrainian refugees, supporting over 200 families with essential provisions - a cause deeply personal due to my family's struggles in Ukraine.
My academic journey was interspersed with invaluable professional experiences. In my first year at KCL, I delved into the legal sector, working as a paralegal intern at DLA Piper while simultaneously pursuing my degree online. My passion for problem-solving and numerical analysis directed my career trajectory towards business analytics. This led to my subsequent role as a business analyst intern at SECND, a second-hand technology marketplace in London. My contributions were quickly recognised, culminating in a promotion to the Head of Partnerships. My tenure at this environmentally-conscious firm ignited my aspiration to advise businesses emphasising social impact.
While juggling university, preparing my LBS application, and studying for the GMAT, I achieved impeccable time-management skills. With a commendable GMAT score of 760 and consistent accolades from my professional supervisors, I am a firm believer in the transformative power of dedication and perseverance.
LBS was my chosen institution for a Masters in Management, primarily due to its globally diverse and collaborative ethos. I am confident that LBS will augment my analytical, problem-solving, and interpersonal competencies, aligning perfectly with my ambition to become a socialimpact consultant. Being awarded the Women Merit Scholarship further solidified my aspiration to become a student ambassador and share my experience with future students.
Beyond academia and my professional pursuits, I am deeply passionate about music, frequently indulging in piano sessions and music production. My professional tennis roots remain intact; I coach friends, spar with former KCL teammates, and compete in LTA tournaments periodically. I also have a passion for long-distance running, completing Windsor half- 2 Marathon in October 2022 and an upcoming Marathon planned for Spring 2024.
