About me: Mary grew up in Los Angeles, California, in the US. She studied Human-Centred Design at the University of California, Davis. Following college, Mary worked as a Growth Strategy and Business Design Associate Manager at Fjord, a design and innovation consultancy by Accenture Song. During her time at Accenture, she combined her background in human-centred design research, business strategy and project management with her passion for social impact to advise global non-profits on their gender equality investment strategies. While at LBS, she is working on gaining skills that will enable her to pivot into the sports industry in a growth and innovation capacity.
Mary is a lifelong advocate for gender equality and the LGBTQIA+ community. While at the University of California, Davis, she founded Davis Women in Business and launched the largest women’s empowerment conference, ‘OWN IT’. Now at LBS, she is a Vice President for the Out in Business Club, creating dialogue around intersectional identities.
Outside of academics, Mary is a poker instructor, youth girls’ basketball skills coach, active student mentor and frequent public speaker.
