About me: Carlo was born and raised in Brisbane, Australia, and studied Mechanical Engineering at the University of Queensland. He spent the first three years of his career working as a design engineer for Bechtel Mining and Metals in Brisbane, before transitioning into the construction industry, where he worked as a piping engineer on the construction of the GLNG plant in Gladstone, Australia.

In 2016, he relocated to Alexandria, Egypt, and led a multinational piping team in the construction of a domestic gas processing facility for BP. He then travelled to Trinidad to support the completion of a water treatment facility, before relocating to Pittsburgh in the US to lead a piping team in the construction of the Pennsylvania petrochemicals complex for Shell. At the beginning of 2022, Carlo accepted a role as project field engineering manager in Las Vegas, Nevada, where he worked in a project management consultancy team supporting the construction of a rare earth processing facility.

Carlo elected to pursue an MBA at LBS due to the programme’s unparalleled global reach, world-class academics and flexible curriculum. He is seeking to leverage his experience in the engineering and construction industry to transition into a role in consulting.

Three topics I can be approached about: Application process; transitioning from engineering to business; relocating to London.
