About me: Andre holds a BSc in Control & Automation Engineering from Universidade Estadual de Campinas (Brazil) and a Masters in Engineering from École Centrale de Lyon (France). He spent two and a half years studying in France to receive both degrees. Andre is also a CFA charterholder since 2018. Before joining LBS, Andre worked for seven years as a currency trader in Itau Unibanco, Brazil’s largest private corporate and investment bank.

After graduation, Andre always considered joining a postgraduate programme at a renowned business school to expand his skillset and knowledge. The opportunity to study finance at LBS was unique. The School’s reputation, diversity of students and alumni and advantageous location in one of the world’s most dynamic financial centres are unmatched.

Andre is passionate about macroeconomy and the way markets react to new information, how the engines of the economy work, as well as how investors’ psychology and behavioural biases play a role in finance. In his free time, Andre enjoys travelling, running and discovering new restaurants in a city as diverse as London.
