Scholarships

The School offers a wide range of scholarships, the majority of which are available to successful applicants who apply in Stages 1, 2 and 3 of the Admissions schedule. You will be given more information on the School scholarship portfolio, including how to apply, when you receive your offer. We strongly recommended that you research external funding opportunities as well.

For guidance the portfolio for the 2014 intake is below.  Our scholarship portfolio for the August 2015 intake is due to grow from last year and will be announced in November 2014.

London Business School Fund Scholarships

Open to: All successful MBA applicants who have clear academic and professional merit and can demonstrate the ability to contribute to all aspects of the MBA programme
Awards: Multiple awards of varying amounts.

The Gallifrey Scholarship for Social Enterprise
Funded by: An anonymous alumni donor
Open to: All successful MBA, EMBA and Sloan Masters applicants who have a background in social enterprise* with a preference for women and/ or candidates residing in Africa.
Award: £20,000
Application Format: Candidates applying in Stages 1, 2 or 3 who receive an offer for the class of MBA2016 will be automatically considered for this award

*defined as an organisation that applies commercial strategies to maximize improvements in human and environmental well-being, rather than maximising profits for external shareholders. Social enterprises can be structured as a for-profit or non-profit, and may take the form of a co-operative, mutual organisation, a social business, or a charity organisation.

Open to:
All successful female MBA applicants.The aim of the scholarship is to support female candidates of merit and to help increase the number of women joining the London Business School.  More broadly the scholarship seeks to encourage an increase in women considering a management career within the business sector

Celia Atkin Avent Scholarship

UK women. Designed to support exceptionally gifted and talented British women who have achieved success through their own determination, ambition and motivation and have strived to succeed in their education and career.

The Carlsson Family Scholarship

The London Business School Israel Scholarship

4 Daughters Charitable Trust
Open to: All successful MBA applicants who are residents of Israel with proven financial need
Recipients of the award are expected to contribute to the School's marketing efforts in the region
Awards: One award of £25,000
Application Format: Candidates who apply in Stages 1, 2 or 3 and receive an offer for the class of MBA 2016 will be automatically considered for this award

LIFE Lebanese Scholarship
Funded by:
LIFE (Lebanese International Finance Executives) - a non-profit organisation which provides a platform to channel the influence of Lebanese finance executives worldwide in order to establish stronger bonds, nurture the next generation and promote Lebanon.
Open to: A Lebanese national or a person of Lebanese decent who wishes to go into financial services. Candidates should have strong academics (top 20% of their class) and be able to articulate (via interview) their reason for pursuing financial services. The recipient of this scholarship will be chosen by LBS and LIFE jointly. 
Award: $10,000 per year

The Borrows Scholarship
Open to:
All successful MBA applicants that are residents or nationals of the UK
Award: One award of £22,000
Application Format: Candidates who receive an offer of a place for the class of MBA2016 will be automatically considered for this award
