Scholarships
A wide range of scholarships are available to successful applicants who applied in Stages 1, 2 and 3 on the MBA programme. This page provides an overview of the key awards available. You will be given more information on the School scholarship portfolio, including how to apply, when you receive your offer. We strongly recommended that you research external funding opportunities as well.
London Business School Annual Fund Scholarships
Funded by: London Business School.
Open to: All successful MBA applicants who have clear academic and professional merit and can demonstrate the ability to contribute to all aspects of the MBA programme.
Awards: Award amount up to £20,000. In 2009, around 25 Annual Fund awards were made
Application Format: Candidates who apply in Stages 1, 2 or 3 and who receive an offer for the class of MBA2012 will be automatically considered for these awards.
Scholarships open to all
The Vodafone Group Foundation Scholarships - The Sir Christopher Gent Award
Funded by: Vodafone
Open to: All successful MBA applicants who would not otherwise be able to study at London Business School.
Awards: 2 x first year tuition fees.

Mark Le Goy Memorial and MBA 97 Class Scholarship
Funded by: Family, friends and classmates of Mark Le Goy (MBA97) who died unexpectedly in July 2002.
Open to: All successful MBA applicants.

MSc04 Maurice Forshaw Memorial Scholarship
Funded by: alumni following the 35-year reunion of MSc04, and in memory of Maurice Forshaw.

MSc16 Term Scholarship
Funded by: alumni from the class of MSc16.
Open to: All successful MBA applicants.
Award: 1 x 50 per cent of first year tuition fees.

MBA25 Scholarship Fund
Funded by: alumni from the class of MBA25.
Open to: All successful MBA applicants.

Style Research World Citizen Scholarship
Funded by: Style Research - an independent and international provider of global equity market style research and analysis services.
Open to: All successful MBA applicants who are socially responsible and have a strong desire to use their knowledge, education and business skills to make the world a better place.
Awards: 1 x £20,000, plus mentoring opportunities.

The London Business School Summer Consulting Team Scholarship
Funded by: Summer Consulting Team of MBA 2008.
Open to: All successful MBA applicants with a consulting focus.

Old Mutual Scholarship
Funded by: Old Mutual plc - an international financial services group focussed on asset gathering and asset management. The Old Mutual Scholarship aims to attract excellent candidates to London Business School's MBA and Masters in Finance Programmes. Recipients of the Scholarships may also benefit from mentoring opportunities with Old Mutual plc.
Open to: All successful MBA applicants
Award: 1 x £20,000, plus mentoring opportunities.
Application Format: Candidates applying in Stages 1, 2 or 3 who receive an offer for the class of MBA2012 must write a memo to the new President of the United States outlining steps he may wish to take to revive the world economy.
London Business School Military Scholarship
Funded by: London Business School
Open to: All successful MBA applicants who have been employed in a full time military role in their career so far.
Award: 1 x £20,000
Application Format: Candidates applying in Stages 1, 2 or 3 who receive an offer for the class of MBA2012 will be considered automatically for these awards.

Deutsche Bank Women's Scholarship Programme
Funded by: Deutsche Bank
Open to: All successful female MBA applicants who have an interest in the financial services industry

Forté Foundation Fellowships
Funded by: The Forté Foundation.

The Santander Abbey Scholarship
Funded by: Abbey National plc.
Open to: All successful MBA applicants who are nationals of Argentina, Brazil, Chile, Colombia, Mexico, Peru, Puerto Rico, Uruguay, Venezuela, Spain, Portugal and the United Kingdom.
Award: 1 x £20,000.

The German Scholarship
Funded by: London Business School.
Open to: All successful German MBA applicants
Recipients will be expected to assist with the School's marketing efforts in Germany.
Award: 1 x £12,000.

The Australian/New Zealander Scholarship
Funded by: London Business School.
Open to: All successful MBA applicants who are nationals of Australia or New Zealand. Recipients will be expected to assist with the School's marketing efforts in the region.
Award: 1 x £12,000.

The USA/Canadian Scholarships
Funded by: London Business School.
Open to: All successful USA and Canadian MBA applicants.

The Chinese Scholarship

The Elof Hansson Foundation Scholarship
Funded by: The Elof Hansson Foundation
Open to: All successful Swedish MBA applicants who demonstrate financial need.
Award: 50 per cent of first year fees.

The Daiwa Anglo-Japanese Foundation - Yoshitoki Chino Memorial Scholarship
Funded by: Daiwa Anglo-Japanese Foundation.
Open to: All successful Japanese MBA applicants Recipients will be expected to serve as a goodwill ambassador for London Business School and the Daiwa Anglo-Japanese Foundation.
Award: 1 x £10,000. Additional benefits include life-long association with the Foundation, introductions to Foundation contacts and Trustees as well as invitations to prestigious events

The Mo Ibrahim Foundation Scholarship for Sub-Saharan Africa
Funded by: The Mo Ibrahim Foundation
Open to: All successful MBA applicants who are nationals of sub-Saharan Africa. Recipients of the award are expected to contribute to the School's marketing efforts in the region.
Award: 1 x up to £50,000.
Application Format: Candidates who apply in Stages 1, 2 or 3 and receive an offer for the class of MBA2012 will be automatically considered for these awards.
Ray Miles Scholarship
Funded by: alumnus Ray Miles (MSc05).
Open to: All successful British MBA applicants with financial need and ideally from a non-privileged background.
Award: 1 x £10,000.
Application Format: Candidates who apply in Stages 1, 2 or 3 and receive an offer for the class of MBA2012 will be automatically considered for these awards.
The Sumantra Ghoshal Memorial Scholarship
Funded by: The Sumantra Ghoshal Memorial Fund In memory of the life and achievements of Professor Sumantra Ghoshal, a valued member of the London Business School community who died unexpectedly in March 2004.
Open to: All successful Indian MBA applicants.
Recipients of these awards are expected to contribute to the School's marketing efforts in the region.
Award: 2 x £12,400.
Application Format: Candidates who apply in Stages 1, 2 or 3 and receive an offer for the class of MBA2012 will be automatically considered for these awards.
The Huckleberry Scholarship
Funded by: a private donor who is an alumnus of the School.
Open to: All successful Thai MBA applicants who are exceptionally gifted and talented.
Recipients of these awards are expected to contribute to the School's marketing efforts in the region.
Award: 1 x £10,000.
Application Format: Candidates who apply in Stages 1, 2 or 3 and receive an offer for the class of MBA2012 will be automatically considered for these awards.
Financial Need Bursaries
London Business School Financial Need Bursaries
Funded by: London Business School.
Open to: All successful MBA applicants earning less than £15,000 and with proven financial need who would not otherwise be able to study at the London Business School.
Award: up to 5 awards of £20,000 each.
