Programme details

The distinctively interactive format of the Strategic Investment Management programme is designed to ensure that you can apply your learning to real-world investment strategies immediately after leaving the classroom.

Alongside the learning gained from faculty and industry guest speakers participants carry out an in-depth analysis of a case study which underpins the key themes of the programme. Participants will also benefit from a highly practical learning environment, putting the theory into practice by taking part in a fund management simulation where you manage a corporate  pension fund.

Programme content

Gain a comprehensive understanding of the investment management process, covering:

  • Modern portfolio theory
  • Fixed income and equity investments
  • Strategic asset allocation
  • Behavioral finance
  • Performance evaluation
  • Passive and active investment vehicles
  • Portfolio optimisation
  • Risk management

At the beginning of the fifth day, each group will make a brief five-minute presentation explaining what their return was over the two periods, how well they think they have done, and why the pension fund management mandate should be given to their group.
