Programme details
The Mergers & Acquisitions programme examines all the key stages in the acquisitions process:
- strategic role of acquisitions
- finance and valuation
- post-acquisition integration.
The programme works with comprehensive case studies that link the strategic, financial and human aspects of the acquisitions process. It's an intensive hands-on programme and uses a variety of teaching methods to allow participants to get to grips with the big issues quickly. Numbers are limited to facilitate the sharing of ideas, experiences and concerns.
Programme content
Prior to commencing the programme, an optional finance workshop takes place on Sunday.
Monday:
You'll learn about the strategic role of mergers and acquisitions, explore different logics for acquisitions and their role in your firm's corporate strategy and look at developing an acquisition strategy.
Tuesday:
You'll look at how to value acquisition targets and estimate the impact of mergers and acquisitions on reported performance.
Wednesday:
You'll discuss the different ways to finance acquisitions including using leverage. You'll also work on negotiation strategies.
Thursday:
You'll cover a variety of post-acquisition integration strategies and how to best implement them.
