Chris Higson

Associate Professor of Accounting Practice

Teaches on the Accounting and Financial Analysis programme

Chris is Associate Professor of Accounting Practice at London Business School, where he was for some years chair of the accounting group. Chris publishes extensively on the financial performance and valuation of firms and on accounting policy and financial governance, and he regularly comments on television, radio and in the international press on these issues. Chris' latest book is Financial Statements: Economic analysis and interpretation. Chris is a highly regarded teacher and has taught on all the major programmes at London Business School. He has also advised many of the world's leading industrial companies and financial institutions.

 

Ian Cooper

Professor of Finance

Teaches on the Valuation programme

Ian's publications and research are in the areas of corporate finance, company financing and capital structure, derivative instruments and international finance. He consults and acts as an expert witness for numerous corporations and financial institutions on corporate finance, valuation, cost of capital, regulation and risk management. He is on the editorial boards of nine leading academic and professional journals and a winner of the Senior Executive Programme teaching award.

 

Henri Servaes

Professor of Finance

Teaches on the Funding, Risk and Restructuring programme

Henri's research and publications focus on corporate governance, IPOs, mutual funds and capital structure. Henri consults for numerous companies and is an Associate Editor of several leading finance journals.

 

Karl Lins

Visiting Professor of Finance

Teaches on the Advanced Corporate Finance programme

Karl's research and teaching interests are centred on corporate finance in an international setting, particularly in emerging markets, and focus primarily on valuation issues related to capital markets and corporate governance. He has done executive teaching at INSEAD, the Duisenberg School of Finance, the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, Southern Methodist University, University of Utah, and several institutions in Mexico. Karl has earned awards for excellence in teaching at the University of North Carolina, the Duisenberg School of Finance, and the University of Utah, and has published his research in the leading finance and accounting journals.
Karl has been teaching at London Business School since 2007.
