Entrepreneurship Summer School

Developing entrepreneurial opportunities, shaping destinies

London Business School's Entrepreneurship Summer School is designed to enable participants to thoroughly explore business opportunities in a practical way. It's aimed at:

  • people who want to develop a new venture idea
  • graduate students around the world wanting to take charge of their own destiny.

At the end of the course you will be able to:

  • assess and shape an opportunity
  • present your conclusions to a panel of angel investors in the form of a customer-driven feasibility study.

Based on your increased knowledge, you will be equipped to decide whether being an entrepreneur is for you.

What happens at the Summer School

You will test the feasibility of your ideas through researching your proposed markets and learning what it will take to turn your ideas into fundable business opportunities.

Each of you will be assigned a mentor from the entrepreneurial community in London - or elsewhere, if you intend to pursue your field research outside the UK. Your mentor will guide and help you in developing your ideas, opening doors, resolving stumbling blocks and serving as sounding boards.

With one week of intensive study at the beginning of the course, a day-and-a-half in August and a final presentation and course wrap-up in early September, Summer School is an ideal chance to test the commercial feasibility of your ideas without disrupting your current activities.

By working under the guidance of a mentor and through contact with numerous panellists and guest speakers, you'll develop real insights into whether the entrepreneurial path is for you.
