The goal of the Deloitte Institute of Innovation and Entrepreneurship is to improve our understanding of the practice of innovation and entrepreneurship worldwide. The Institute provides intellectual leadership on innovation and entrepreneurship.

Over the last 25 years the School has built an unrivalled set of activities in three dimensions: teaching, research and business creation:
- For students wising to study entrepreneurship the School is seen as the top choice;
- For faculty committed to doing research in the area the School ranks high - we host faculty across a number of different academic disciplines whose principal interest is in the areas of innovation and entrepreneurship;
- For our alumni and others who are starting, building or investing in early stage businesses, we have built up a rich network of support activities,
Our decision to launch a Institute of Innovation and Entrepreneurship rests on two sets of circumstances - a strong and diverse community of faculty with research interests in the field of innovation and entrepreneurship and a growing public and business awareness that innovation and entrepreneurship will play a critical role in unlocking solutions to many of the major challenges we face today.
