The Private Equity Institute was renamed the Coller Institute of Private Equity on 6 October 2008 following the multi million commitment from the J Coller Foundation.

The Coller Institute of Private Equity is the forum of choice for the exchange of views and analysis of trends and policy issues in private equity.
Our location in London gives us a unique opportunity to bring together practitioners, policy makers, regulators, senior executives and graduate students to conduct research and share information in an independent forum.
Our Vision

- Leading forum for exchange of ideas amongst practitioners, regulators, policy makers and other stakeholders in the industry

Annual Coller Institute of Private Equity Awards 2008
Award Ceremony held on 24 April 2008
The Coller Institute of Private Equity Awards recognise the very best achievements of individuals and firms working within venture capital and private equity. Presented by the British Venture Capital Association (BVCA) and Real Deals, these annual awards are the ultimate accolade for the industry's dealmakers and advisers.
Over 30 students from the MBA, MIF and Sloan programmes, under the superb guidance from James Ray, supported the Coller Institute of Private Equity spent several months conducting research and surveys to identify the qualifying nominees and interviewing the recommended finalists. They presented their findings to the judging panel that took their recommendations into account.
A gala dinner on Thursday 24 April, 2008 was held at the Grosvenor House Hotel, London where the winners were announced. The students that worked hard for the Private Equity Awards attended the ceremony. The School and the Private Equity Institute was thanked and commended several times during the evening.
A special thank you to all the students who worked hard for the success of the Coller Institute of Private Equity Awards. Lastly to add that none of this would have been achieved without the dedication of James Ray - the Coller Institute is again indebted to his high level of commitment and support.
