Michael Blomfield is a PhD student in Strategy and Entrepreneurship at London Business School. His research interests lie in the broad themes of innovation and technology strategy, organisational learning, and industry evolution. Michael completed his undergraduate studies in Philosophy, Politics, and Economics at the University of Oxford. He also holds Master’s degrees in Economics and Public Policy from University College London and Harvard University’s Kennedy School of Government respectively.
Prior to beginning the PhD programme at LBS, Michael led health policy projects for the British Government and researched developments in organisational practices in the global development field at the Brookings Institution in Washington, DC. His work has appeared in practitioner-focussed publications across a range of subjects, including innovations in public health delivery, European migration policy, and the evolution of institutions in the global aid architecture.
