I am a 5th year PhD Candidate in Marketing at London Business School.

In my research, I study self and identity and their impact on consumer judgments and decision making. In particular, I focus on decisions in the financial domain.
In my dissertation research I investigate when and how consumers adjust present discretionary spending to a future income increase or decrease. I focus in particular on the role of self-continuity, which describes consumers’ sense of identification with the person they will be in the future.

Prior to starting my PhD studies, I earned a Diplom (equivalent to Master’s) degree in Psychology from Ludwig-Maximilians-University in Munich. I also spent time as a student and research assistant in Psychology at the University of California, Santa Barbara, for which I received a fellowship by the German Academic Exchange Service.
