Skills Programme

Stand out in the job market. In today’s competitive global environment, recruiters demand skilled analytics graduates ready to deliver immediate business impact.

Designed to complement the integrated technical and business abilities you develop in core and elective courses, the MAM Skills Programme provides a broad range of professional development options. These reflect our close collaboration with recruiters and up-to-date feedback from our Career Centre, ensuring you graduate with the core communication and team skills analytics roles now demand.

The Skills Programme covers three broad threads: Interpersonal, Numerical and Digital.

Interpersonal

Strong interpersonal skills are critical to business readiness and long-term career success. Mandatory sessions are designed to fit with your learning and career needs, including topics like Presenting with Impact, Career Action Planning and Data Visualisation. Additional optional sessions allow you to target areas of particular need, and include sector specific subjects such as Intro to Case Skills, and Careers in Tech.

Numerical

In recognition of the strong numerical skills MAM graduates must showcase, we provide sessions in Excel, Macro and Intermediate and Advanced Modelling.

Digital

As covered in the analytics core, all students will gain training in the essential programming languages

Many of the key interpersonal competencies – online branding, business presentations, persuasion and communication, teamwork, negotiating and bargaining – are taught alongside our other Early Career programmes, either in digital format or by leading business practitioners. You’ll also receive solid training in Data Management, and Data Visualisation and Storytelling.

Complement your career ambitions and customise your personal development with a range of flexible options.
