The core curriculum for the MAM is designed into two fully integrated learning threads: analytics/data science and general management. Applied project work and team assignments will boost your proficiency and provide real-world opportunities to practice your skills.
Gain all the knowledge you need to successfully manage, communicate and deliver data projects, including business understanding, data understanding, modelling, evaluation and deployment. Rigorous and intense, your analytics core is underpinned by a substantial programming and database curriculum. It covers essential languages and software like Python, R and Excel and is delivered by expert practitioners to ensure you graduate fully career-ready.
Expand your network whilst learning alongside students from different LBS degree programmes. Electives are a unique opportunity to customise your degree to your own requirements. Choose three from a wide range of subject areas, including courses like Elements of Machine Learning for Business, New Technology Ventures, Managing a Digital Organisation, Fin Tech and World Economy: Problems and Prospects.
We make sure you hit the ground running, right from your first post-MAM role. Taught by leading practitioners and experienced PhD students, state-of-the-art training in essential programming skills like R and Python is complemented by classes in Excel and a range of other data management and data visualisation software. Exploring the models and methods of data mining and analytics, you’ll learn by putting theory into practice. And to make sure you have the broad toolkit of interpersonal capabilities recruiters demand, you’ll enjoy a strong focus on teamwork and communication skills.
Faculty-led, our immersive field trips take you out of your comfort zone, exposing you to different business problems and perspectives around the globe. Apply your learning to different cultural contexts. Work with real data to hone skills learned on the programme, delivering concrete impact and gaining hands-on experience. Focusing on Tech/Entrepreneurship and Social Impact, recent trips have explored a diverse range of locations, including Beijing, Tel Aviv, Cape Town and Silicon Valley.
