Experience: Professor Birkinshaw’s other areas of expertise include the strategy and organisation of large corporations, specifically corporate entrepreneurship, strategic agility and headquarters-subsidiary relationships.
Key positions: He is a Fellow of the British Academy, the Academy of Social Sciences, the Advanced Institute of Management Research (UK), and the Academy of International Business. He has been awarded Honorary Doctorate degrees by the Stockholm School of Economics (2009) and Copenhagen Business School (2018).
He has written 15 books, including the recently published Fast/Forward with Jonas Ridderstrale, which offers companies a set of guidelines for how to respond to disruption. He is regularly quoted in international media outlets, including CNN, the BBC, The Economist, The Wall Street Journal, Huffington Post, Businessweek and The Times.

Lisa Duke, Learning Coach
What does Lisa bring to the programme: Lisa’s career has spanned finance, FMCG, charities and the public sector. She has worked in business education since 1997, coaching executives from a multitude of industries and geographies to apply learning from programmes to their corporate roles as well as developing blended and online programmes for the world’s leading business schools and supporting faculty with their teaching and research.
Experience: Lisa’s research background is multi-disciplinary, cutting across strategy and leadership, with a particular focus on innovation and digital transformation. Her educational background includes a First Class Honours Degree in Business Computing from City University, London; an MBA from the London Business School; an MSc in Organisational Psychology (Merit) from University of London, Birkbeck College; and a Professional Certificate in Coaching from Henley Business School. She is also accredited in the UK and Europe for the NEO PI-R personality inventory by the British Psychological Society. At present, Lisa is studying for a doctorate at SDA Bocconi in Milan focusing on digital transformation.
