João Cotter Salvado is a PhD Candidate in Strategy and Entrepreneurship at London Business School. His research interests lie at the intersection of strategy and organization theory, with an additional interest in entrepreneurship. In his dissertation, he investigates how top managers and entrepreneurs communicate strategy to external stakeholders. In particular, he explores the visual aspects of their presentations and the impact they have on investor and analyst reactions. His research was recognized with grants from the Deloitte Institute of Innovation and Entrepreneurship and the Strategic Management Society (SRF Program).
Before joining LBS, he was Research Director at IES - Social Business School and Invited Teaching Assistant at Nova School of Business and Economics (SBE). He holds an MRes in Strategy and Entrepreneurship from London Business School, an MSc in Nongovernmental Organizations (NGO) Management and Development from London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE), and a BSc and MSc in Economics from Nova SBE. In the past, he was Research Assistant at the Portuguese Competition Authority and co-founder and Member of the Board of two international NGOs which currently work in Mozambique and São Tomé e Príncipe.
