London Business School will offer a full fee scholarship for its Sloan Masters in Leadership and Strategy starting in 2017.
The full fee scholarship has been made possible through generous donations from the School’s network of more than 40,000 alumni worldwide. The donations are part of the first ever fundraising campaign by the School, which celebrated its 50th anniversary last year. The campaign aims to raise £100 million.
Linden Selby, Senior Manager, Recruitment and Admissions, Sloan and EMBA-Global, says: “The Campaign saw a phenomenally generous response from alumni and the donor community. This valuable scholarship enables us to offer full support to an exceptional individual.”
The one-off scholarship will be awarded in 2016 to a prospective Sloan student who will commence his or her studies in 2017. Recruitment will start from 30 March 2016 with the award decision being made in September. The scholarship application will require each student to make a short video demonstrating their creativity on the topic “Who Am I?”.
The Sloan Masters in Leadership and Strategy programme is the only programme of its kind in Europe (and one of three globally). The 12-month programme, which has flexible options, delivers the latest business practice and research to enhance experienced executive’s leadership skills and strategic thinking.
The campaign, which was launched in 2013 to help transform the future of the School and enable it to continue to have a profound impact on the way the world does business (and the way business impacts the world), will fund several School projects. As well as doubling the School’s scholarship offering, the campaign will also fund the development of Old Marylebone Town Hall (which will be known as the Sammy Ofer Centre), help to attract more world class faculty, provide investment for the latest technology and develop an unrestricted fund in support of the School’s strategic priorities.
