Wandile Mashoba

  • Degree Programme: Masters in Finance part time
  • Global Nationality: South African

Born in Soweto, South Africa, Wandile graduated from Monash University with a Bachelor of Business Science, a double major in Economics and Marketing, and went on to study for his Bachelor of Commerce Honours in Monetary and Financial Economics at the University of Johannesburg. Passionate about the resources industry, Wandile joined the Anglo American group (LON: AAL) and has since worked across its various subsidiaries in operational finance, commercial and strategy functions. He currently works as a Senior Analyst for the De Beers Group in London where he is responsible for the short-medium term price and revenue forecasting.

Wandile’s goal is to help resources companies make sound commercial decisions. He was attracted to the Masters in Finance (MiF) at London Business School (LBS) because of its rigorous academic offering, the flexibility of the part-time programme – that gives him the opportunity to apply what he learns in the classroom to his work immediately and highly esteemed faculty and well-accomplished students. He feels that these aspects, in addition to the vast alumni body, creates an opportunity to develop a quality professional network to learn from and contribute too.

In his spare time, Wandile enjoys composing music, getting lost in a good book – mostly about history and politics – travelling and, of course, spending time with his family.
