Interested in: Technology, luxury, growth equity
My greatest challenge when applying to business school was: Preparing my applications while working full-time, launching a startup idea, and interviewing for internships
About me: I grew up in Switzerland and pursued a bachelor’s degree in economics at the University of St. Gallen. During my studies I completed two internships: one in fintech and one in alternative investments. Upon graduating, I decided to take a gap year, in which I worked in investment banking for six months and launched my startup idea in the e-commerce space. At the beginning of 2020, I had planned to do an internship at a technology and consumer VC fund in Paris, which was cancelled due to the COVID-19 outbreak. In the long-term, I hope to go into consumer/technology growth equity. Apart from my professional aspirations, I enjoy doing sports; I competed in alpine skiing for almost 15 years and enjoy rowing and running. Here at LBS, I found myself developing a greater interest in the retail and luxury goods sector and joined the RLGC as an Executive Committee member. LBS and its unique student body truly enables me to further my interests and cultivate new ones, on both a personal and professional dimension. I have no doubts that LBS will help me and my peers navigate through uncertain times like these.
