Vincent was born in Seoul, South Korea and has spent a third of his life in the UK. He holds a BSc in Mathematics with Management and Finance from King’s College London. Aspiring to take leadership roles upon completion of his undergraduate degree, Vincent applied to the Air Force Officer Candidate School to be commissioned as an officer. He served as an intelligence officer for three years at the Republic of Korea Air Force Headquarters, where the highest line of report was Chief of Staff of the Air Force. His major responsibilities included planning and supervising anti-espionage and counter-jamming operations and coordinating with the United States Armed Forces in Korea. Recognized for his bilingual communication skills, he was asked to join the arms trade task force where he coordinated overseas defence contractors for multi-billion arms trades.
Prior to joining London Business School, he worked in the investment banking division of Yuanta Securities, a leading Asian investment bank with a dominant presence in Taiwan and Hong Kong, for nearly four years. Participating in 20+ leveraged finance and M&A projects across the globe with total deal volumes accumulated to more than US$4bn, he was responsible for developing and strengthening client relationships, structuring and executing a full spectrum of financial transactions.
Vincent decided to join LBS because he believes that a set of upgraded tools derived from the Masters in Finance will enable him to broaden his horizons, extend his global network and undertake a job with a truly global setting. In addition to being a student ambassador, Vincent is VP Treasurer of the Infrastructure and Construction Club and actively participates in the Turnaround and Restructuring Club, Finance Club, Private Equity and Venture Capital Club and Men’s Rugby Club. In his spare time, Vincent enjoys practicing Brazilian jiu-jitsu. He fluently speaks three languages; Korean, English and Spanish.
