Soufian was born to Tunisian parents and raised in Montréal, Canada. After obtaining a master’s degree in finance from HEC Montréal, majoring in market and quantitative finance, Soufian initially joined the ranks of Accenture. There, he analysed and optimised the business processes of leading companies in the utilities and natural resources sectors. Combining his industry knowledge and his academic experience, he then joined a private hedge fund specialising in the energy space. As a senior trader, he was tasked with the pricing and trading of derivatives products in North America and Europe.
Soufian joined the MBA programme at LBS to further develop his leadership skills by leveraging the School’s world-leading academics, while benefitting from the wealth of experiences of the culturally and professionally diverse student body. Soufian is actively engaged in multiple social and professional clubs and is notably a representative on the Wine and Spirits club Executive Committee. Post-graduation, he plans to pursue a career in investment banking in London.
