My greatest challenge when I applied to business school was: Networking, especially coming from a background/city which is rather underrepresented at LBS, with not a lot of alumni to draw experiences from

About me: Despite securing a lucrative civil engineering role with one of the biggest construction companies in the world, I decided to take a leap of faith and work at the intersection of business and technology, something that had always interested me, doing business development for internationally renowned SaaS firms Zycus and Salesforce in India. As a 21-year-old fresh out of college, I consulted C-Suites and VPs of Fortune 1000s in Silicon Valley and emerging businesses in India, in overcoming their operational challenges. Soon, I decided that I wanted to amalgamate my numerical aptitude, built during the course of my quantitatively demanding engineering curriculum, with the interpersonal soft skills I had garnered navigating lasting relationships with executive-level prospects, and what better way to do it than through a career in strategy consulting. Wanting to plug my business knowledge gaps, in an intellectually stimulating and highly international setting, is what brought me halfway across the world to London Business School. Some of my favourite things about LBS, apart from its cultural diversity, are the solid sense of community and the blurred lines between different programmes. With a desire to add value to the LBS community during my time here, I have joined the Executive Committees of the Women in Business Club and the Consulting Club, where I get to work closely with MBAs, EMBAs and Sloans, to improve the student experience at LBS, and I find that truly amazing. When life permits, I enjoy travelling and adventure sports.
