Sherif holds a Bachelor of Commerce with a major in economics from Helwan University in Cairo, Egypt. Sherif currently works at HSBC UK in London, as a director in the credit advisory team. He is responsible for originating, structuring and underwriting bespoke lending solutions for ultra-high-net-worth clients of the private bank. Before joining the private bank, Sherif spent 10 years in the corporate banking division at HSBC, where he worked in various global and international relationship management roles in the UK, Qatar and Egypt.
Sherif chose to study the Masters in Finance part-time at LBS to deepen his finance expertise, broaden his exposure beyond the banking sector and expand his network of professionals in the industry. Apart from being a student ambassador, Sherif is part of the Executive Committee of the Wind and Wave Club and a member of the Investment Management and Middle East clubs. Additionally, he is a social representative for the Masters in Finance part-time class. Sherif enjoys travelling and playing hockey, and is currently a certified high-intensity interval and fitness coach. He also enjoys kitesurfing and scuba diving
