Sasha came to London Business School from a career in political risk consulting at Eurasia Group in Washington D.C. and New York City. He initially focused on South Asia, analysing Indian, Sri Lankan, Pakistani and Bangladeshi politics for corporate and institutional investor clients. His work later expanded to comparative analyses of issues like water scarcity and data protection regimes globally. He is still proud of correctly calling the closely-contested 2015 Sri Lankan presidential election. He is pursuing his MBA in order to build skills and improve his understanding of broader business issues in the unmatched global context that LBS provides. He hopes to leverage his MBA at LBS and his prior experience working with senior corporate executives to understand and address their geopolitical challenges to transition to a career in strategy consulting. At LBS, Sasha is on the executive committee of the India Club, helping manage the annual India Trek for students and outreach for the club’s speaker series. He is also an active member of the Running Club, Middle East Club and Consulting Club. Sasha graduated from the University of Pennsylvania with a degree in political science, South Asia studies, and history.
