My greatest challenge when I applied to business school was: Figuring out which programme was the best fit for me, and time management

About me: I was born and raised in Cairo, Egypt then graduated from the London School of Economics and Political Science with a degree in Economics. This international background immediately attracted me to LBS. I interned as a data scientist at a retail and corporate bank which introduced me to the rising importance of data and artificial intelligence across various industries. Additionally, I interned at an asset management firm which specialised in ESG investing and that utilised machine learning and AI. Following these experiences, I realised I wanted to build upon my theoretical background and gain more technical expertise. The MAM programme was a perfect combination of that. I am particularly interested in fintech, venture capital, and how new technologies can innovate businesses and build startups in emerging markets. Ultimately, I wish to start my own business. At LBS, I am an avid member of the Tech & Media Club. Aside from academics, I am an avid contributor to charity initiatives regarding women’s empowerment and health in Egypt, and I love photography and travel.
