About me: Rajan grew up in India. He studied engineering at the Indian Institute of Technology Bombay, graduating in 2017. He joined McKinsey & Company and worked in the banking and telecom industry while at McKinsey and then joined Merck Sharp & Dohme (MSD) as chief of staff to the India CEO. This early change to a leadership equivalent position in a multi-billion dollar healthcare company helped him gain more perspective on implementation execution and is happy to talk more about it.
Rajan decided to pursue an MBA to further bridge the gap in his personal passions and professional aspirations. He describes his fellow students as “thrillingly diverse”, and says that his programme has given him friends from all over the world. “It’s extraordinary how many new friends I made so quickly on the programme. And I’ve met new people from LBS in cities all over the world who have welcomed me, as a fellow member of the community.”
He currently plans to pursue a career in private equity after LBS and is working with the Private Equity & Venture Capital Club to help him with the same. He is also passionate about the young leadership programme across retail and healthcare sectors. Given the flexibility at LBS, he’s using the opportunity to explore his career of choice.
Three topics I can be approached about: Consulting and healthcare; life at LBS; advice around the application process
