My greatest challenge when applying to business school was:
Understanding what makes an ideal candidate and choosing the right school/programme

About me:

I am an economics graduate from Hindu College, University of Delhi and hold a postgraduate diploma in International Business Operations. Before joining LBS, I was working with EY India's risk advisory team, where I engaged with leading luxury automotive brands, advising on improvement of their existing sales processes.

I have also worked in my family business, a publishing house specialising in educational content. I chose LBS because of the diverse student body, strong alumni network and to expand my knowledge in the fields of entrepreneurship and technology. In particular, I wanted to gain an understanding of how traditional businesses across manufacturing and education are adapting to the digital transformation that’s sweeping the globe. My long term goal is to transform and expand my family business with a global footprint.

Besides academics, I love travelling and have keen interests in arts and theatre. During my time at LBS, I got the opportunity to pursue my hobby by taking acting classes taught by professional actor and drama instructor, John Lightbody. I am also part of the executive committee of the Family Business Club.

My electives:
Managing a Digital Organisation; Supply Chain Management; Managing a Growing Business; New Venture Development

Why I chose to do the fourth term:
I chose to do the fourth term as an exchange student at NYU Stern School of Business as NYC is considered the media capital of the world and is home to some of the largest publishing houses across the globe. This will provide me with unparalleled opportunities to experience the real business world and aid me in transforming my traditional family owned publishing house into a powerhouse of digital educational content. Furthermore, I love travelling and exploring new cultures, and I believe this a great opportunity for me to do so. I am so thrilled to get to New York and begin this new journey!
