Education: Bachelor, HEC Montreal; graduated in 2019
Topic(s) studied: Business Administration
Interested in: Investment banking
My greatest challenge when applying to business school was: Identifying with the LBS community
About me: I was born and raised in Senegal, West Africa. For the past five years I’ve lived in Montreal, as I completed my Bachelors in Business Administration at HEC Montreal. While at HEC, I had the opportunity to live for six months in Glasgow, as part of an international exchange programme. I’ve always been interested in working in the financial industry, therefore I interned at Diamond Bank, a commercial bank in Senegal. However, being always open to new experiences, I also decided to intern in a Canadian management consulting firm, CowaterSogema, working on development projects in emerging countries. Right after graduation, I worked at BNP Paribas as a due diligence analyst. I joined LBS’s MFA programme as I believe it can provide me the tools to transition to what I’ve yearned for so long: a career in investment banking. At LBS, besides achieving my professional goals, I am very keen on making a long-term impact by contributing to the student community and working to increase diversity. Outside of the School, I enjoy art (music and visual art) and travelling. I look forward to getting to know you and sharing my journey to LBS with you!
Three topics I can be approached about: Moving to London/life in London; funding; diversity at LBS
