Meïssa holds a Bachelor in Business Administration with a concentration in Finance from HEC Montreal, and is a CFA Level 3 candidate. He has lived in Senegal, Singapore and Canada, and before joining London Business School, Meïssa was a manager in corporate banking at HSBC in Montreal. Notably, he managed and provided debt financing to a portfolio of Canadian and international large and mid-market companies with annual revenues between $25m and $1bn.
Meïssa’s motivations to join the Masters in Finance program were to (i) facilitate an industry switch by leveraging the LBS brand, (ii) expand his network with likeminded professionals from around the world and (iii) enhance his financial and leadership skillset through the rigorous and renowned classes, as well as the faculty members of LBS. Besides his student ambassador role, Meïssa is also an Executive Committee member of the Private Equity and Venture Capital Club, and the VP Finance of the Africa Club. He is also active in the Emerging Markets, Social Impact and Tennis clubs. Meïssa is a certified PADI scuba diver and enjoys travelling, art and practicing multiple sports in his spare time.
