Maxim was born in Russia where he obtained a degree in mathematics from Moscow State University. He started his career in insurance risk management as an actuary. A few years later, he moved to a consultant position in EY’s financial services risk management advisory team in Moscow, where he worked on various projects, such as Basel III implementation. In 2016, he relocated to London and joined the quantitative advisory services team, where he is a manager specialising in market and counterparty credit risk topics, being part of teams serving global top-tier banks.
With the LBS MiF programme, Maxim aims to complement and broaden his technical background with solid finance knowledge and his understanding of the industry. He also wants to expand his network to help him advance in his advisory career. In his spare time, Maxim has volunteered as a maths tutor to primary school children; he likes playing football, exploring London and the countryside and is an active contender in general knowledge quizzes.
