About me: Marie grew up in Singapore and Vancouver, Canada. She studied global resource systems (resource economics) at the University of British Colombia. She started her career in international development, working in Indonesia, Tanzania and Palestine, where she focused on entrepreneurship and economic development with MEDA, UNRWA and the Mastercard Foundation. Next, she joined the MaRS Centre for Impact Investing, Canada’s leading advisory firm focused on the sector. She advised high-growth startups on their go-to-market and capital raising strategy as co-lead of accelerator programmes, and conducted due diligence on SVX issuers. Prior to enrolling at LBS, Marie was part of the team that launched SVX as an independent financial services firm, where she developed and led investor strategy and partnership services.

Marie is proud to attend LBS as a Forte Fellow and Rotary International Global Scholar. In summer 2020, Marie interned with AHL Venture Partners, a leading impact investment firm based out of a family office. She also worked with fintech company Loqbox during LondonCAP. Active in student life, Marie is Senior Treasurer for the Women’s Touch Rugby Club, and is a Careers Co-VP of the Social Impact Club.
