My greatest challenge when I applied to business school was: GMAT, choosing the right programme

About me: I was born and raised in Lima, Peru, but I was fortunate enough to study in Denmark, Germany and the UK. Ever since my first exchange in Aarhus, Denmark at the age of 17, I fell in love with travelling and discovering new cultures. Before COVID, I had been to 25 different countries and met people from all around the world. I have always liked the world of finance, the fast-paced environment, and the possibility of working with different companies. That is why I decided to study Finance at Universidad del Pacifico in Lima. During my time there I did my first internship at Transportadora de gas del Peru, the biggest midstream gas company in the country. After a bit more than a year, I switched industries and began working in the investment banking division of Credicorp Capital, one of the major Latin American financial advisory firms. Later, I went to Frankfurt, to study for a semester at Goethe University. That was when I decided to study for a Masters instead of an MBA as I had planned. I went back to Peru, graduated, and began working for a consultancy firm while I studied for the GMAT. I took the GMAT and TOEFL in September and applied for the first deadline round to LBS. I continued working for a year until I arrived in London. Apart from being a student ambassador, I am an Executive Committee member of the Advocacy team of the Women in Business Club and a member of the Brands & Ops team of the LatAm Club. Plus, I live three minutes away from campus and the LBS gym, so I try to either go for a run at Regent's Park or to the gym early in the morning before starting my day!

Three topics I can be approached about: Women in Business Club; LatAm Club; moving to London
