About me: Lotta grew up in Tanzania as part of a Finnish family, and studied Psychology and Geography at Dartmouth College in the US. After graduation, she moved to Dublin and then London (where she has lived for the past four years), working for the Gerson Lehrman Group, a B2B platform that connects investors to subject matter experts over the course of their due diligence. She most recently led the consumer equities desk, managing some of the firm’s most senior client relationships with asset/fund managers and former industry executives in the consumer/retail industries.

She decided to pursue an MBA to more effectively transition careers, with a long-term view to financial markets/services in Africa. Having spent her life at the intersection of many different cultures, she chose LBS primarily for the diversity of the programme, the international connections and opportunities the school provides access to and the global mindset among both faculty and peers in classroom teaching. At LBS, Lotta is on the Executive Committee of the Africa Club and Women’s Touch Rugby Club, and is a member of the Finance, Nordic, Social Impact and Women in Business clubs.

Three topics I can be approached about: International background (Africa and the Nordics); women in business; London as a city to work and live in
