My greatest challenge when I applied to business school was: Managing my time between university work, Masters applications, internship applications and extra-curricular activities

About me: I was born in Japan, but I spent my childhood in the Netherlands and the majority of my education in England. I completed my Bachelors in Economics at the University of Warwick where I was mainly involved in organising an academic summit that hosted students worldwide – I really like setting up events! I joined LBS as I wanted to learn practical business skills and meet people from all walks of life while figuring out my long-term career aspirations. I am now exploring future opportunities in the social impact realm by being involved in the Social Impact Club and organising their signature conference. The great aspect of student clubs at LBS is that you have the chance to meet students from other programmes including the MBA. I am excited to be putting together a conference with my new team while learning more about what social impact means to me. At university, I completed internships at BlackRock, PwC and Bain in Tokyo and found that I wanted to pursue my first career in consulting. I will be joining the London office at Bain next year and a lot of the content I have learned in the MiM programme has been very helpful. In terms of hobbies... they change all the time! I used to be into horse riding, flower arrangement, Japanese calligraphy, watching figure skating and tennis and the list goes on. Now I am considering trying out pottery and maybe following some F1 races. I am open to any recommendations on what I could try out!

Three topics I can be approached about: Consulting; Social Impact Club; life at LBS
