James holds a bachelor’s degree in history from the University of Huddersfield and a certification in blockchain from Saïd Business School. For the past two years, James has worked at Cashplus, a London-based fintech/specialist bank for SMEs and consumers across the UK, with spotlight focus on their transition to becoming a bank. Before working for Cashplus, James worked for Addleshaw Goddard in commercial/finance and projects. He spent time on secondments to both Barclays Wealth and Investment Management, covering structured products, offshore and corporate business banking, lending and savings and investments, and the Universities Superannuation Scheme, a large pension provider in Liverpool, leading on a critical change management project.

By doing the MiF, James hopes to strengthen his financial knowledge and technical expertise, and leverage the school’s strong brand and resources to further develop his career within finance. In addition, he hopes to expand his network with professionals from varied business sectors, both in London and across the spectrum of the global LBS community.
