My greatest challenge when applying to business school was: Balancing applications with full-time job
About me: I am from India, and completed my bachelor’s in IT engineering at Nirma University. During my undergraduate degree, I got the opportunity to intern with three companies including Toshiba Electronics as a software developer, and that is when I realised that wasn’t where my actual interest lies and I really wanted to go to a business school. After my undergraduate degree, I got the opportunity to work with PwC, where I was introduced to the world of data. I was working with various big retail clients to identify fraud in their systems. Shortly after this, I started working as a business analyst with Dunzo, one of the leading startups in India. I was analysing data and gathering insights for the finance, investor relations and B2B teams. I always wanted to study at one of the top business schools, and LBS was the obvious choice, mainly because of the diversity they have to offer. We have students from more than 30 different nationalities and it feels so good to interact with everyone and get to know about each other’s cultures. In addition to this, the MAM programme is the perfect balance of business and technology and is accurate for the kind of skills I want to acquire, especially how data is driving businesses. I am very interested in product and innovation and how startups and technology are going to change the future. Apart from this, I love playing tennis and travelling.
Three topics I can be approached about: Moving to London; working in analytics; LBS application journey
