My greatest challenge when I applied to business school was: Finding the school I felt I would get the most out of my time at

About me: I grew up in Pembrokeshire, South West Wales, where I attended school ahead of my undergraduate degree in Finance and Investment Banking at Henley Business School, University of Reading. During my undergraduate studies I gained a strong understanding of the financial industry and a broad skill set which motivated me to complete the MFA to take a deep dive into areas I found most interesting, in particular corporate finance, capital structure and private equity. Additionally, over this time I completed internships in financial product development, infrastructure debt and infrastructure equity. I also gained exposure to sustainable investing including ESGs, TCFD and its integration into business. I was attracted to LBS as a strong brand and leading Early Career finance Master in the UK, strong mix of practical and theoretical application of concepts, incredibly internationally diverse cohorts and the opportunity to join one of the strongest alumni networks. I have enjoyed becoming part of the school’s community, making the most of all on offer both in class and socially (including the infamous Thursday Sundowners). I have also used the Career Centre in the application process for internships and work opportunities. Joining the Out in Business Club Executive Committee in an operations role has provided an amazing opportunity to support and improve LGBTQ+ diversity while meeting a fantastic group of people. I am looking forward to helping and sharing my experiences so far!

Three topics I can be approached about: Out in Business Club; being a student from the UK; applications and scholarships
