Girija holds a bachelor’s degree in commerce with a concentration in accounting and finance from Jain University in Bangalore, India. Girija has also been a Chartered Accountant since 2016. Before joining London Business School, he worked in the audit and assurance practice of PwC in both India and London. He is currently part of the retail, hospitality and leisure group at PwC London, where he provides financial accounting and structuring advice to corporate, commercial and institutional clients across the Europe and Asia regions.
Girija decided to join the Masters in Finance programme at LBS for three key reasons: to build a diverse network with his cohort and alumni from across the world; to broaden and deepen his financial knowledge through world-class faculty members and a diverse curriculum; and to leverage the school’s strong reputation and resources to successfully switch sectors within finance upon graduation.
In addition to being a student ambassador, Girija is an active member of the Expedition Club, Private Equity and Venture Capital Club, LatAm Club and Cricket Club. In his spare time, Girija enjoys working out, playing cricket and hiking. He has hiked the Helvellyn peak (the third highest peak in England) and is looking to complete the Three Peaks Challenge in the next couple of years.
