Giri has a background in both engineering and finance. He graduated from Imperial College London with a master’s degree in electronic engineering, specialising in semiconductor device physics. His master’s project involved working with the NASA Insight Mars mission team by creating a proof of concept seismometer for applications on Mars. After graduating from Imperial, Giri spent five years at Deutsche Bank in business analysis and product development. Responsible for technology projects for the equities prime finance business, he covered electronic trading projects as well as large-scale regulatory programme implementation.
Since joining LBS, Giri has been heavily involved with the MBA programme office as an academic representative. In addition, he is engaged with the Tech and Media Club, helping to organise international treks to visit top-tier tech firms. Recently, he was in Dublin along with a group of LBS students at Google, Facebook, Twitter, Dropbox, Square, ConsenSys and Pinterest. He enjoys the blend of creativity, technology and business skill that a career in tech has to offer!
