My greatest challenge when applying to business school was: Understanding how to highlight my strengths as a candidate

About me: As I was graduating from my undergraduate degree in history at UCL, I was looking to enter a career in consulting, but felt as though I did not have the practical quantitative experience many firms were looking for. Speaking to a number of people I knew in the industry, the Masters in Management programme at LBS was consistently recommended to me for the education and experience it offered. I was drawn to the programme as it gave me the opportunity to work in a diverse environment, gain practical business experience and benefit from world-class professors and career support staff. During my undergraduate degree, I was heavily involved in team sports, specifically American football. While I am not able to play at LBS, I have brought many of the teamwork and leadership skills with me as I approach team-based projects. I have also joined a number of clubs at LBS, including Consulting and Wine and Spirits. For me, the best part of LBS is the environment it fosters, where people are friendly and supportive as we all look to progress into our professional lives.

Three topics I can be approached about: Coming to LBS from a humanities background; life in London before COVID; applying to LBS from the UK
