Fernando Sánchez León-Orantes

Fernando holds a bachelor’s degree in industrial engineering, with a concentration in project management, from Universidad Panamericana in Mexico City. Before joining London Business School, he worked in the global markets division of Bradesco BBI in Mexico City as an equity strategy and equity research associate, advising national and international institutional clients on the Mexican equity market. Prior to his experience at Bradesco BBI, Fernando worked for UBS Investment Bank in New York City as an equity research analyst for the cement, construction and industrial sectors team in LatAm.

Fernando decided to join the Masters in Finance programme at LBS to build on his academic and practical understanding of financial markets and finance theory, whilst leveraging the school’s reputation and its world-class international faculty and body of students to successfully switch his career path upon graduation.

In addition to being a student ambassador, Fernando is a member of the Finance Club, the Investment Management Club, the LatAm Club, the Running Club and the Arts and Business Club. Fernando is a team sports and running enthusiast who is also very fond of the visual arts of film and photography. He ran the Mexico City Marathon in 2019 and is currently training for the 2021 London Marathon.
