My greatest challenge when I applied to business school was: Finding and strengthening my differentiation advantage as a non-business background candidate
About me: Born and raised in Beijing, I moved to Shanghai in 2015 for my undergraduate degree in advertising at the Journalism School of Fudan University. On campus, I was the director of Fudan Art Troupe, through which I dedicated myself to improving the accessibility of art resources for my community; I was also the captain of Fudan University Cheerleading and won several first prizes. Over the past 3 years, I gained experience first in the public relations sector; working for McKinsey then became the turning point of my career path. During my 16-month McKinsey internship, I not only gained solid research and analytics skills, as well as practical expertise in strategic sourcing, but also decided I needed to pursue a business degree to develop comprehensive commercial knowledge and transferable business skills in a diversified context. Apart from my professional interests, I love oil painting and visiting museums.
