My greatest challenge when I applied to business school was: Having confidence that my application and work experiences were strong enough for a school like LBS
About me: I grew up in Brussels, Belgium, in a Belgian-Italian family, and completed my undergraduate degree in Business Administration at ESADE Business School in Barcelona. There, I was part of the university’s Marketing Association, where I led the organisation of case competitions and other events. I was fortunate enough to intern at four prominent firms in EdTech, data management, private equity and advertising. This is where I discovered a passion for technology and data. However, I felt that I lacked some crucial hard skills in programming languages and other data-related skills, even if I knew that I’m not going to pursue a career in a very technical area. Data is the language of the next decade, and people from all industries can benefit from becoming fluent in this language. The MAM at London Business School seemed like the ideal place to learn these skills, with its academic excellence and its location in London, the place to be for European tech and startups. What I didn’t expect though, was how helpful and genuinely supportive everyone is, from my peers, to the professors who want us to succeed, and lastly to the incredible Career Centre which is there at every step of your journey.
Three topics I can be approached about: Women in STEM; working in venture capital; moving to London
