My greatest challenge when I applied to business school was: Shaping my career aspirations and managing the steps required to achieve this. Coming from a business management degree, the breadth of options for my future were too vast. Finding my way through this and being effective with the decisions I make has been a challenge, especially with other responsibilities on the line.

About me: Being Chinese-born Portuguese, I have grown up with a multicultural background my entire life. I moved to London for my bachelor’s degree at Queen Mary University of London, studying Business Management. During this period, I completed an internship at a startup, and worked part-time at as an operational associate at Macquarie Group. Through these experiences, I gained interest in the consulting sector, which inspired me to apply to the MiM at LBS. Outside of academics and professional work, I was also engaged with various societies during university. The Western-Asian community in the UK has deeply shaped my experiences, as I took on the role of Events Manager for ABACUS (Association of British and Chinese University Students) Society in London. Moreover, I was also appointed President of the Queen Mary Dance Company, through which I was able to explore my creative abilities alongside my leadership skills. I chose LBS as I believe that my relevant skills will be refined by the MiM programme through learning from notable faculty, incredible alumni mentoring, and a highly collaborative community. With a global mission of developing industry leaders with exceptional insights, the MiM provides a great platform for my commercial curiosity.
