My greatest challenge when applying to business school was: Being afraid that my business experiences were not enough

About me: I am someone who always strives for change and diversity. I have studied abroad since I was 15 and have so far lived in four different countries in four different continents. I spent three years in New Zealand during my high school period and went to the United States for undergraduate study. I attended the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA) and received my bachelor’s degree in Business Economics in 2019. After graduation, I worked as an audit associate at Deloitte Los Angeles for about a year before I joined LBS. During my time at UCLA, I participated in various student organisations and was heavily involved with the Student Accounting Society where I was the student director. I was responsible for organising the largest public accounting firms recruiting event at UCLA, as well as working closely with firm recruiters to organise weekly information sessions and mock interviews, to facilitate students’ networking opportunities with professionals. I am currently looking for opportunities in management consulting and corporate finance and will hopefully land a new career in these challenging industries after graduating from LBS. In my spare time, I enjoy exploring food, travelling and working out.

Three topics I can be approached about: Applying to LBS as a Chinese student; finding a job in a foreign country; moving to London and adjusting to a new environment/culture
