About me: Bukyoung holds a BA in Business Administration from Korea University and is a Certified Public Accountant in Korea. He started his career as an associate at Deloitte Korea where he was involved in several tax consulting projects and provided tax advisory services for domestic and foreign-invested companies. After joining the Bank of Korea, South Korea’s central bank, he held various roles for over eight years. He monitored domestic FX markets and international financial markets for the Monetary Policy Board Report and reviewed a variety of FX transactions. His other major roles at the bank included analysing major central banks’ policy changes and their effects on financial markets as well as publishing the Monetary Policy Report – the most important and influential report for the bank.

Bukyoung decided to pursue a Masters in Finance at LBS to supplement what he had learned through extracurricular study and experience. He would like to learn more about financial markets and practical analytical techniques from the world-renowned faculty and extend his network by mingling with diverse financial professionals.

In his spare time, he enjoys playing tennis, travelling and singing.
