Asha grew up in Missouri with Chinese parents. Prior to joining LBS, she worked in southern California as the business development manager for a small software systems integrator in the automation industry. Her company implemented supervisory control, data acquisition systems and machine execution systems for manufacturers and governments, ranging from breweries to water purification. Prior to this role, Asha spent five years as an engineer at Rockwell Automation, the world’s largest company dedicated to industrial automation. Her job included the design and implementation of automation systems for some of the largest manufacturers in the world. As a Forte Fellow, Asha has dedicated much of her time to empowering women in the STEM and business fields. She has been a leader in the Society of Women Engineers for the last decade and has teamed up with UN Women to fight for gender equality. Asha came to LBS to enhance her knowledge of business fundamentals, to build a European tech network and to experience dynamic London life. She plans on returning to tech following her MBA and is exploring possibilities in product management or business development at a large tech firm.
