Anesu Musendo

Anesu holds a Master of Arts (with Honours) in Economics with Finance from the University of Edinburgh in Scotland. She has more than five years of corporate and investment banking experience. Prior to joining London Business School, she worked as a vice president at a leading pan-African bank in debt capital markets, on a team within the investment banking division. She was responsible for the ratings advisory franchise across all regions and segments, supporting clients in all ratings considerations, including first-time ratings, rating upgrade and defence, capital structure optimisation and debt capacity analysis. In addition to her rating advisory responsibilities she was responsible for the origination and execution of bond issuances for all financial institution clients.

Anesu decided to join the Masters in Finance programme to not only broaden her financial knowledge, but also develop her leadership potential by leveraging the School’s widely respected academics, diverse cohort and well-recognised reputation in finance. Anesu was the first recipient of the A.H.E.A.D Scholarship award. In addition to being a student ambassador, she is an active member of the Africa Club and the Finance Club. In her spare time, Anesu enjoys reading, travelling and exploring different cuisine.
